How to Choose Bedroom Furniture

Start with the bed, since its size sets the scale for everything else in the room. Measure the floor space the bed will occupy, plus enough clearance to walk around it, before choosing a size. Single, Queen, and King sizes occupy different amounts of floor space, so compare the dimensions of the specific product you're considering against your room. Decide early whether you want storage built into the bed frame or prefer to keep it separate with a wardrobe and trunk box, since this affects which bed design to choose. Once the bed is settled, match a wardrobe and dressing table in a similar wood and finish to keep the room consistent, and size bedside tables to fit beside the bed without blocking movement around it.

Beds
